Spotlight on Community Events

Looking for something to do? Here's a (noncomprehensive) list of things going on in and around our community. These are not library-sponsored events, so please direct questions to the organizers.

9/27 & 9/28: Harvest Market. Saturday, 9:30-5. Sunday, 10-4. Underhill, Vermont

10/4 & 10/5, 10am-5pm: Open Studio. The Open Studio Weekend Tour is a statewide event where artists open their work spaces to share their tools, equipment and inspirations. The Emile Gruppe Gallery in Jericho will serve as a hub for Tour Loop #2 which covers the Jericho/Underhill area. Start your visit at the Gallery and pick up a map of artists participating on the tour and see samples of their work. The Gallery will also be hosting local artist Gretchen Alexander, who will be giving a live painting demonstration all weekend 10am-5pm. Also on display at the Gallery is a group exhibit by the Vermont Pastel Society, and members of that group will be on site throughout the weekend painting. Please stop by and see what they are up to!

Other Artists on Tour Loop #2 Include:

  • Covey Road Studio – Nancy Chapman. Paintings, abstract watercolor, and oils.

  • First House Pottery LLC – Katherine Morrissey. Wheel throwing and hand building classes.
